You Gave Me Wings 

A feeling lost long ago
A heart that never healed
A soul lost in a never-ending sigh 

A heart that once beat true
Still beating in time to yours
Even though our paths have split 

A lost love
A piece of my heart gone forever
Yet a piece of yours remains with me
Always 

A dream that never dies
Maybe I’ll see you again some day
In the soul of my heart - a dream 

You gave me your wings so I could fly
But you never told me
My flight would be without you 

My heart full of dreams, wishes, hopes
Are there because you found me
And saved me in ways I never knew
A soul could be saved 

You gave me wings to fly and held my hand
You gave me a new life to live
With new hopes and dreams 

Now I’m living my life
Hoping that somewhere
You can see me, and smile at me
And know that every step I take
I take thinking of you.
