Black Rose

Cursed Black Rose lying on the sand,
Never touched by human hand
So beautiful…
Looking so harmless…
Not a thorn on its slender stem,
But instead a single grey leaf

Black Rose,
Willing passers by to see it
Black Rose cursed,
Yet its pull so great
So beautiful, so perfect
Yet so lonely

A lonely passer-by
Stops and stares
So perfect yet so lonely…

The stranger starts to cry
Accursed Black Rose!
So perfect, so beautiful
So tempting…

A single tear from this strange beauty
Spills on the Black Rose
As she raises it to her heart
Accursed Black Rose!

Truth revealed…
Black Rose now a sword
Blood running from silver blade,
Ominous and dark sky,
Raven hair whipping her pallor
Red eyes burning

Accursed Black Rose!
What has happened?
Accursed Black Rose!
Never touched by human hand,
Never seen by human eye
What are you capable of?

Beautiful, perfect,
Cursed Black Rose…
